Why EclectiCallie?

Having been a marketer for a long time, I know one needs to identify target audiences, develop specific messages to reach each and keep things simple. Also that successful blogs should have a FOCUS.  That’s fine.  But it isn’t me.  Call it dilettantish,  if you want, but what better way to express a lot of interests than through this medium.  My professional and personal interests range from marketing, marketing communications, marketing research and social media to distance and blended education to virtual worlds and Second Life to a variety of artistic  and craft activities.     The art is primarily collage,  art quilts and oil pastel.  The crafts include mosaics, quilting and beading.  Still need to get good photos to post.

So, my Second Life name is Callie Kuhn and I also use that handle for Twitter. Thus comes the EclectiCallie name.  Categories will help sort out the different topics as they come.  Right now, my new Social Media and Management course for NC State MBA’s is top of mind, as is project for NC State’s MAC program and Ernst & Young in Second Life.  More on those in coming weeks.
